About
Research:
I am in the early stages of graduate study into time series data mining. I am interested in motifs, and their application for rule-based time series data mining.
My primary areas of philosophical interest are the philosophy of science and philosophy of mind.
Biography:
I studied Philosophy at the University of East Anglia from 2003. I completed my PhD, "Structural Scientific Realism: Continuity of Structure over Theory-Change in Generative Linguistics" in 2010, supervised by John Collins.
Continuing my research at UEA, I earned an MSc in Computing Sciences; my Master's thesis examined the effect of pruning redundant rules from association rule sets, and compared three different algorithms for generating association rules. I have recently (2011) undertaken a second PhD, researching time series data mining.
